Van Ness High Sided Cat Pan Litter Pans at Linens 'n Things

On February 24, 2012:
I bought 5 of these litter boxes and have been using them for 2 months, and I hate them! Two of our cats keep tipping them over, so I end up with a pile of litter on the floor. Also, I find them difficult to clean because the litter box is not a nice rectangular box with flat sides. The corners are rounded so it is hard to get the scoop in the corners to clean and the front has an indentation that always requires extra work. Plus I was disappointed in the size of the Large. It is not as big as a regular kitty litter box. I'll use them for a couple more months to get my money's worth, but then I am going back to regular kitty litter boxes.

On November 29, 2011:
Almost no spill-over litter. (not sure what that cat is doing when some litter shows up on the floor) Sturdy container - kitty says thank-you.

We received a Van Ness "Giant" High Side Litter Pan on loan from a friend when a sweet kitty unexpectedly adopted us. Its a good size, and seemed of high quality, so I purchased 3 more (one to give a new one back to our friend) for our house, with the expectation we will soon adopt another cat. It is not Gigantic or gargantuan, despite the size description (read the dimensions) but it is a very good size, and the high sides keep the litter in well. There is more than enough room for our average sized cat to turn around, and comfortably re-position to cover her business. It cleans up well, too. A big plus (in our opinion) is that it is made in the USA. When we opened it, there was barely any plastic smell (which is expected with freshly-molded plastics), unlike some other plastic products we've had, which off-gas the plastic by products for a horribly long time. The sides are strong enough for our kitty to half-stand on the edges as she does her covering up. If we needed another litter pan, I'd buy this same product again.

On December 25, 2010:
I have 8 adult cats so it's important that they have plenty of boxes to use. I keep them clean and they like to keep them full. I have such a hard time finding this size box locally so I was so happy to find a place on line where I could order them. They are great for the older ones that don't get low in the normal height boxes.

On August 10, 2010:
I have 3 of these high sided litter pans and the cats love them. The extra high sides help prevent accidents where the cat misses the pan when using it. The pan is easy to clean because the inside corners are really rounded. The clumps just scoop right out!
