She just loves playing with "Mr Shark"...it's what we used to get her used to going in the water.

I'm a dog walker & the shark is the favorite pool toy for the dogs that I take care of. The non-swimmers can even even retrieve it from the side of the pool. I'm ordering a few more!

My black lab mix is truly an obsessive compulsive ball fetch dog, so finding a floatable water toy that was easy for me to repeatedly throw long distances was no easy task. This toy is great! We have the large toy that fits in the large Chuckit launcher, and he happily goes after this toy for 2-3 hours at a time. One caveat - if your dog is a heavy chewer as mine is I recommend that you restrict access to this toy to fetch times only.

I've tried every gizmo out there for dogs to retrieve in the water, even the ones made just to train retrievers. Most of these float too low in the water for dogs to see unless there is no glare or choppiness. Some others don't last. The shark fin toy is easy to throw a long way out into the water, it floats very high, and if there is any breeze or choppiness the fin waves around, making it easy for the dog to see. Very sturdy. My dogs love it.
