I bought my canister filter from a guy on craigslist and didn't even know that it was supposed to have gaskets, after doing some research I quickly figured it out and the performance has doubled in my Magnum 350.

Just What I Needed

"When in doubt, check your gaskets"...

I noticed poor performance from my Magnum and tried to figure out why there was a sudden performance loss. I inspected the canister, checked the motor for cracks, a damaged impeller, bent impeller shaft, and the o-ring seal around the canister and cover.

After a week of fretting I realized that a gasket had gone missing! Ordered a set from PetMountain and the rest was history. It's way cheaper than at my LFS (who rarely ever stocks Magnum parts) and any place else online, even with the cost of shipping!

Couldn't be more pleased.
