Great but....

This is a great filter but...know ahead of time how much space you have to fit the filter...since it is a hang on the back of the tank and it has the beneficial bio wheel you will need at least 16 to 17 inches of clear space. I say this because I bought it to use on a bow front 30 gallon tank and I had to add a hose to lengthen the distance to the bio wheel because my tank has the black support across the middle of the tank. The only other "drawback is that it IS NOT the most quiet filter. No matter how many times I tried I could not "burp" all of the air out of the canister. This means you will hear "running water" all of the time. Some find that peaceful, others do not. The motor of the filter is quiet so if you are lucky enough to get a unit that does "burp" properly then you will be golden...I would buy another one so the noise is not that big of a deal...
