This product is amazing. It makes regular water changes and gravel cleaning so easy. (I have a 29 gallon tank) This product works! I would highly recommend it.

I only have a 1.5g at the moment, so I needed something small enough yet effective enough to be able to clean out the tank for when I'm doing 50% changes and still be able to get little bits of debris. I've heard everyone I talked and read plenty of threads that knew about fish that having a siphon was pretty a much a necessity. So I stumbled upon this, and let me say, I do love it ^.^ It works great with getting the little bits of pieces and doesn't suck up the gravel. The only downfall is that since my tank has a small opening, my only method of getting he water to flow is by sucking at the end of the other part of the tube.. >.>;; But so long as I manage to take it away from my mouth before the dirty fish water starts flowing out, it's all good. Plus since the tube is so long, I can read from my sink to the tub to let water flush through and rinse out any gunk that managed to get stuck. If you have a fish, this is definitely a product you should swing for ^.^

Great siphon. I had to cut the hose to fit my preference, but overall very nice tool and a must have for every hobbyist.

I have a 20 gallon tank and this gravel vacuum is supposed to be good for that size tank. I like to clean the gravel more thoroughly than this would let me. It siphons water very quickly and if you don't need to clean the gravel thoroughly would be a quick clean of your tank. I went out and bought a mini one today with only a 1" diameter so I have time to clean the gravel. Not a bad product, just too big for my tank.

On July 27, 2009:
I've had this for a year and no problems with the connection to the mouth of the device. It's been used for saltwater reef tank many times and show no wear to the tube. I've been meaning to get a larger one to speed up the cleaning process but haven't needed it yet. Surprisingly, the suction from the larger mouth of the tube along with its length helps to not pick up the tiny substrates.
