Used it as Python replacement. Fits and looks just like Python's, though still using my old adapter connecting to faucet. Just used it a few times, if there is any change I'll update this post.

This valve completes the repair/replacement of my existing water draining system. Not only does this head allow for testing water temp as you replace the drained water, but at the twist of it's base you switch from drain to fill. It establishes its own siphon even to levels above the aquarium water level. Another fine piece of equipment from Lee's. The only improvement I would make would be to add a separate water drain to test replacement water temp without blocking the hose.

I bought one of these (and the METAL faucet adapter) recently. I'm very impressed with it's function. The device uses the venturi effect to draw water out of your aquarium quickly with less disturbance to the fish than with many "self priming" gravel vacuums that require you to plunge them in and out of your tank to get the flow started. The super pump is effortless, you just turn on the faucet and watch the water drain right out of your tank. My only gripe is that the plastic faucet adapter it comes with doesn't fit tightly in my faucet, but fortunately Pet Mountain stocks a metal adapter that solves this annoyance. It really is a five star product, but I have to give it four for the plastic adapter.
