Perfect-a-Light hood is designed to sit on top of the aquarium frame, perfect-a-lite-full hoods accommodate aquariums from multiple manufacturers. The front access panel runs the entire length of the hood for daily maintenance and feeding. Textured surfaces won t show fingerprints. Each fixture includes a plastic splash guard to protect the bulb.

Good Product

Product was as described, arrived on time and provided excellent light source for the aquarium. Price was higher than I wanted to pay but I am very happy with the quality of the product over the hood that was supplied originally. I would recommend this hood.

New Hood

I purchased this to replace my Perfecto hood I bought in 1988, which was showing its age, especially the light fixture. The hood was the exact replacement. I am very pleased.

Lights Up My Little Tank!

This is exactly what I am looking for for my 5.5 gallon tank. It fits wells and installs in seconds. The flourescent bulb is enclosed in a metal case, which can be detached from the hood. It lights up after a flicker or two. The only issue with the hood is that it looks like it is made with cheap plastic material. It may break if you drop it on a hard surface. But considering its relatively affordable price, this is still a good buy!
