Acid Buffer

SeaChem Acid Buffer is a non-phosphate buffer to lower pH and buffer with Alkaline Buffer. Both buffers are designed for the planted aquarium or for very hard water where phosphate buffers may pose an algae or cloudiness problem.

SeaChem Acid Buffer lowers pH and buffers between 5.0 and 8.0 when used with Alkaline Buffer. As Acid Buffer lowers pH it converts carbonate alkalinity (KH) into available CO2. It may also be used to safely lower pH in marine water.

A Must Have in Your Aquarium Tool Kit

Seachem Acid Buffer is a must have in my aquarium tool kit. A small amount added to my very alkaline tap water reduces the alkalinity to near neutral without significantly increasing hardness. The excess carbonates is converted to dissolved CO2. My plants react almost instantly, with vigorous pearling. Magnificent!

Best PH Product for the Money

Here in the US most of our tap water is high (8+). With this product you only need the tiniest bit to bring the PH down to 6.8 or 7 (the product will take it down to 5.0 if you need it). So even the smallest bottle will last you for years! I have several large tanks and the 1 kilo lasts me several years. It's the best for both PH control and cost savings!
