This is by far the best water conditioner I have ever used, and when my supply becomes low I will definitely be ordering it from Petmountain again. A must for your tank.

I use a lot of seachem products for plants, water buffering, filter products, monitors,chlorine removal and lots more. As always seachem products are top of the line. Simply put, they work.

I have been using this since I first realized what all was involved with basic fish care. It is the best product, hands down. Combine that with the fact that it only takes a few drops to equal what most other manufacturers take 5 to 10 mL to do, it's very cost effective. I wouldn't use anything else.

I've used Prime for years, and find that it still is the best deal for a water conditioner that binds both chlorine and ammonia, and also will bind nitrites to prevent them from harming living organisms in an aquatic system. Prime is my product of choice for use in cycling new systems, as it effectively neutralizes chlorine and chloramine and detoxifies ammonia and nitrite, while leaving the nitrogenous compounds in the system to feed aerobic bacteria to cycle the biological conversion ability of the system. Seachem's site claims that Prime will detoxify nitrates in a closed system as well. I can neither confirm nor deny this claim, as it is not easily measurable. The effects are measurable and able to be easily observed in the effects on chlorine, chloramine, ammonia, and nitrite. To me, this is quite enough to make Prime a superb product. Prime is a very concentrated product, and in my experience, no other product can accomplish the same results using such a small amount in solution. In other words, Prime offers the most bang for the buck of any product of its type.

It works for the bad stuff (Chlorine, Chloramine and Ammonia) that might be in your tap water. It's more concentrated so you use less. Also, in an emergency, if you happen to have an ammonia or nitrite spike you can use a much higher dose without adverse effects until you can do a water change. It's a great value for a great product.

As a breeder & hobbyist, I only use Prime Water Conditioner for my tanks and ponds. I will never switch to another brand. Very cost efficient, very reliable. I normally buy 2 bottles of 4L Prime every few months. Really glad to have found this at petmountain.com at the lowest price possible.

This red bottle Seachem prime really works. The price is good and shipping always on time from vendor, no problems. I have used other products, but for the water type here plus the rain, this really balances the water that can turn green quick

Seachem Prime is probably the most effective water conditioner available for the price. A small capfull is all I need for each water change. Buying the larger bottles is even more cost effective, since the 2L bottle will last me around a year or so.

Took me awhile to switch from Amquel to Prime, but I'm glad I finally did. Very cost effective. The majority of hobbyists I've met have use Prime.

I have been using Seachem (seachem makes the best stuff out there)Prime ever since I heard about how great it was. I used a lot of the other popular stuff, but none of them offered what Prime does. Prime will not only take less to condition the water it also helps lower Ammonia, Nitrites and Nitrates and can be used to treat sudden spikes by double dosing (per instructions on bottle). Simply put: don't waste your money on the other stuff, use Prime and done!

I have sold and raised fish professionally and ALWAYS recommend PRIME to everyone I know - It not only goes far - this bottle treats 5,000+ gallons, but it reduces Ammonia, Nitrites and Nitrates all in one swoop! WHAT A MIRACLE! When you have large tanks, you need something that goes far and doesn't cost a lot! This is amazing!! 5*****!

Have used the SeaChem "Stability" and "Prime" water additives for a number of years. Frankly, I wouldn't use anything else. My pet shop associate recommended these products when I was setting up my first tank and five tanks later, I'm still using these products with exceptional results.

Prime works very well. It's concentrated so you don't have to use as much as many other brands, and it takes care of almost any concern one would treat water for. It makes water changes a breeze.

We have used Prime for years in our tanks and it has kept the water properly conditioned. We are now using it in our Koi Pond and we have very happy Koi.

Seachem Prime is 5x more concentrated than Amquel+. Use 1.5 drops (or roughly 2 drops) per gallon to initiate new tank water. After this, add 1 drop per gallon each day for the first week of starting a new tank, with no fish in it, then add 1 drop per gallon twice a week after that until nitrogen cycle kicks in.

I think this product is great. It helps a lot with conditioning the tap water that we get in Milpitas. I highly recommend the product.

My tap water has cloramine and not chlorine. I used Stress Coat, which raised my ammonia level because it split the cloramine into chlorine and ammonia. Prime is expensive, but a 500ml bottle should last you more than a year if you have a 20-40 gal, and do 10 percent water changes a week.
This product treats chlorine, chloramine, nitrates, and nitrites. Also, adds slime coat protection to fish. Great product, will always use this.
