API Pimafix Antifungal Fish Remedy Bacterial & Fungal Aquarium Medications at Linens 'n Things

On March 24, 2013:
I had an angelfish that literally was upside down and barely moving. I looked at the fins and body and something fuzzy was all over the fish - this had happened quickly and the other angelfish in the tank had nothing wrong with it. Out of desperation I added this product to the tank -thinking it may be something fungal and now, 2 days later, the fish is recovering, swimming around - still some rapid gill and fin movement, but ALIVE, I am amazed. I was going to take it out of the tank because I thought it was done for....Have it on hand if you have fish.

On October 15, 2011:
The bottle says works best if used with Melafix. They're right but I would recommend try this first alone, before adding the MelaFix. The smell is more pleasant. I've used with tanks that had freshwater mussels and have lost any.

The fish hobby has been in my family for years - now that I've taken it up, I have tried most medications under the sun for something or another. I love Pimafix because it does seem to heal fungus that has not progressed too far. If you pay attention to the health of your fish and catch something early - this will benifit you, if not, you may be out of luck and have to try something MUCH more potent/deadly. This is natural - so I like trying this first.
