The picture is very misleading

I purchased this set for my new place because the pattern and colors in the picture evoked feelings of playfulness and style. The near white base color made the set seem bright and fun. However when I received the set, I was very disappointed to find that the background color is not white at all. Not even close to white. Instead, it is a darker neutral color which completely changed the feeling from fun to dreary. The rugs seem sized for very small bathrooms as they are smaller than the ones commonly found in stores. I ended up keeping the set because I needed something immediately. If it weren't for that, I would have returned it.
