I was looking for something that could fit into a small room and still give my cats some mental stimulation and physical exercise. This was an inexpensive way to make a jungle-gym of sorts for them. The directions that came with the product left me scratching my head, but there are YouTube instructional videos, which made assembly MUCH easier. It comes with little binder clips to keep them together if you're stacking, which is great. So my cats are bounding up the stacks I made and it makes a nice window seat for them as well. The biggest challenge now is keeping them from smacking each other in the face to see who gets to sit at the highest level. Definitely worth trying!

I have a cat that likes to explore, although she is curious. I decided I wanted something she could climb in, and purchased 8 of these on a whim. I didn't realise their size, mostly because I am used to metric and therefore have problem visualising imperial measurements. When I got them, I started putting together the boxes immediately. I stumbled a bit, but then I checked the instructions, and suddenly it wasn't as hard as I though. The boxes are about 1 foot x 1 foot x 1 foot (I estimate), and they are easy to put together and easy to stack. I stacked 5 boxes on top of each other and one extra on the base, and that isn't really sturdy enough. I have since got a base of three boxes in an L-shape, second level have 2 boxes and then 3 up for climbing. The good thing about these is that you can take them apart and change configuration. I would recommend making climbing holes bigger than the default, i.e. use a knife and follow the instructions on how to make them bigger. Non-climbing holes can be smaller. If your cat is afraid to go in (some may be, Princess was at least skeptical), add some treats inside, and the cat will go in in search of treats.
