It features a unique ratchet gear and lever arm mechanism that will pull the cork quickly and with the greatest of ease.With its sturdy all metal construction, stylish chrome finish and special friction coated spiral, Icon will give you years of service and enjoyment. Stands 7 1/2" high, fully extended.To use the Icon Ratchet Action Corkscrew: Place the corkscrew on the bottle. Grip the corkscrew and turn handle with other hand to insert screw into cork. When handle is all the way down, lift the lever arm up and down in a "pumping" motion. Continue this up and down motion to pull the cork from bottle. Only 2 or 3 strokes are needed. To extract cork from corkscrew, turn handle counter-clockwise.
