I am always a little skeptical when ordering on-line, but this crate has not been a disappointment at all! I love the style of the doors and the fact that there are two. The doors have little hooks that attack top and bottom, plus a traditional sliding latch. The crate is sturdy and stable and I actually like it better than one that I bought in a local store.

My dog and I love this crate. I love the removable divider. I love how easy it is to set this crate up and take it down.

On July 26, 2012:
Can fit two in the back of my SUV placing them sideways. One door opening to hatch, one opening to front. I have bought four of them for larger German Shepherds.

This is the second Precision 1000 crtate I have bought through PetMountain. I usually love the Precision crates far better than any other. This particular one I bought has a new "feature" that is not on any other. There is a little hook type thing on the front door that is new to this crate. It's probably there for dogs who know how to open their own crate by moving the latch over. This new version requires that you have to slide the mechanism over then lift the door up. It's VERY difficult to do this on this crate and opening this crate door is a real pain. 

On March 12, 2012:
This dog create was so simple to put up, just unfold and hook in-place. I don't have to worry about sharp edges because there aren't any. The door is simple to close and there is an extra safeguard in place, so that if my dog should figure out how to unlatch it, door would still have to be lifted upward to open it. He is not yet two and enjoys resting in his create for naps. It was shipped and we received it very quickly. I am quite happy with the price and quality of this crate.

This really is a great crate, especially for the price. My 5 1/2 mo. old Golden Retriever loves it. We got her the 42" size and she's so happy with the extra room it gives her. If you are in doubt about what size to get, remember bigger IS better!

Easy slide door that opens to let your pet in and out. There is an opening at top too. Easily folds down so easy to pack up if necessary. Builds back up very quickly too. Sturdy build. Got the Model GRC1000 for my 5 lb poodle. Enough space for some movement. Perfect for crate training and a place for the poodle to reside when tired.

On October 30, 2011:
I purchased this one since it was marketed as a "STRONG" crate. But my German Shepard got out of it in less than 30 minutes. I purchased it because all the other crates failed, and I liked the idea of the gate being in the bars which would make it harder to pull the door in for a quick escape. I was very disappointed that it did not work and that the door bent and broke so easily.

On July 12, 2011:
The Precision 5000 was much easier to set up than previous crates I had purchased. It is a good looking addition to our house and our dog loves it!

Last week I hesitated ordering this crate, I read the review and thought to myself "oh please those are fake reviews". But honestly the crate was an easy set up and my Yorkie tried getting in before i finished putting it up!

I had been borrowing a friend's 'Suitcase Crate' and loved it so when the time came to get my own I turned to Precision. The 'Great Crate - Black' is a quality crate, and suits my needs just fine. I was slightly disappointed that the door doesn't latch in the same way as the 'Suitcase'. I think it's an issue of the black coating which the 'Suitcase' doesn't have, but the 'Great' does. Regardless, this crate works fine, both me and my dog are happy with it.

We were bringing home our Boxer baby and I needed a crate for training. I knew they would be very expensive in the local pet stores, so I started doing some research online and ran across Pet Mountain. Let me tell you that I will never buy from the local stores again, as Pet Mountain has everything I need at wonderful prices and quality! I ordered the Precision Pet Great Crate - Black: Habitat: 4000 - Dogs up to 70 lbs- (36"L x 23"W x 25"H) & two Precision Pet SnooZZy Sleeper Flat Bed - Sage: 35" x 23". The Sleeper Pads are very nice, soft and durable, I have washed them several times & they are good as new. My puppy is already happy to go into her crate at night and by the 3rd night, sleeping all night! I have the division panel in place & will move it as she grows. I am excited to use the side door feature when she is older. I couldn't be more satisfied with my purchase and it arrived very quickly. I am a very happy customer & will be shopping again very soon. I highly recommend these products & Pet Mountain for your next purchase.

On February 6, 2011:
My 5 year old Australian Shepherd evidently had a very bad case of separation anxiety and got the bottom lock undone and bent the front and bottom of the cage and escaped. I was dumbfounded when I got home and opened the bedroom door and out he walked. He was shaking. I'm glad he didn't hurt himself. Now it is a little hard to lock the door, but it can be done.

On February 1, 2011:
The crate is sturdy and was easy to set up. My only disappointment with it is the latch. While it is secure once you have it in place, the sliding part of the latch is too long and gets caught between the vertical bars. It is also pretty flimsy. The tabs that are part of the latching system are a good idea but are awkward as well. I own another crate that is similar, and the latches work much better.

On January 27, 2011:
I was impressed with how easily this product was to put together. There are essentially only 3 pieces: the tray, a divider, and the wire crate. Most people won't use the divider so that really leaves only 2 pieces. The crate just "unfolds" into its intended shape and snaps into place. Slide in the tray and you are done -- simple!!

This is a well made product with a divider that is perfect for my puppy. The company also provided excellent customer service in addressing a concern although they are not open on the weekend.

When I ordered this item I was a bit leery that my pit bull would like it. But when I set it up (real easy) and put his blanky in there, he went right in and laid down. He goes in when he wants to and it's a really good feeling to know that your dog is safe and secure when you need to leave him alone at home for a while. Cage door shuts easily and is very secure.

My first purchase was a 24" Precision Crate for my puppy 2 years ago. He outgrew it unexpectedly and I recently purchased the next model up 30" and he just loves that he can enter from either door. I like the heavy gauge coated wire. And it travels well even though it's larger.

I have the size smaller and getting this size for my new dog. I have had my other one for 6 years and love it, it also folds up nice and easy to store and durable.

These crates work great for rabbits. They are taller, wider and just better quality for bunny and the PLUS is they have the plastic tray and no wire that the rabbit has to stand on. Bunny uses litter box and super easy to clean!

We just adopted another beagle and wanted a "home" for her like we do our other one and after doing in-store and online research petmountain.com had the best prices and selection. Lily loves her new home and her bed and will go in and out all day and even our other beagle Eddie realizes that the crate is not to be feared and lingers in his now too! The size is great for a beagle or any other dog that size and shape with ample room to move around and head space. I also like the two door option that is on it in case we ever need to turn it around. Great product that is sturdy to handle an rambunctious 2 year old beagle!

These are the best crates I have ever used. I'm in the rescue business. I previously always purchased Midwest crates but their plastic pans don't hold up and they are more expensive to replace and the dogs nails make more noise on contact. Precision also has wonderful customer support in helping you to select the right crate for your needs. Their crates are very versatile since you can place them against walls and your almost always assured your pet can have access. Love the compact suitcase style. Very easy to take on a trip. No pins or parts to loose. Thanks to LNT they have them at an affordable price.

I have one of these crates and needed another one. Unfortunately, I tried to save money by buying a cheaper one made by Midwest. Big mistake! The quality was not the same--lighter wire and the sides didn't fit properly. I returned the cheaper crate and spent the money for the exact same thing I had. The crate is sturdy yet light enough to carry to dog shows. My only concern is the latch. If you don't latch it all the way, there is the possibility that your dog could bang on the door until it gave way. My 4 month old standard schnauzer puppy did this. But adding a clip to the latch makes the door escape-proof.

Very heavy and durable. I love the puppy divider so you don't have to buy a new one as the puppy grows. There are extra supports at the top and the bottom of each door so that if she does ever want to use her paws and try to get out I don't think that the doors will bend as most without supports would do. My 7week old Mastador hasn't had any accidents, and loves her new little den. :)

The price of this crate on your web site was an incredible value, as compared to the local pet stores. This is the only crate I could locate (six different stores in town and twice as many online sites) that had a top door, and this was very important to me due to mobility problems. The tray is sturdier than some of the other crate brands. The ability to purchase a pen that collapses, as well as the crate collapsing, and that the pen is built to connect to the crate was also a selling point for me. The construction was sturdier than some of the other brands that I considered buying. The ability to carry the crate with a handle sturdy enough is very useful to us. The latching mechanism is easy to use, but very secure. I am extremely happy with my purchase.

This small size kennel is very difficult to find at most retail pet supply stores or even online for that matter. Your website is the only one that I found that offered this particular measurement. I'm a 4.5 year old boxer (with the boxer sized Great Crate 37"), it fits me perfectly. I have learned how to open the doors, but a simple padlock has fixed that problem! Easy to break down to go up north, fits in the trunk of a Jetta very easily. I'm happy with it.

I have two sets of the Precision 3000 crate and Snoozzy Crate bed. I keep one in my bedroom for my dog to sleep in and one in the garage for travel. They are compact and easy to carry. My dog loves his crate and snoozzy. If you buy the crate also buy the appropriate bedding...Snoozzy Crate Bed, also made by Precision - the two are a perfect fit.
