We have a whole array of de-shedding combs for our golden retriever... the best working one that does not cut the undercoat off and actually pulls dead fur off, has been a de-shedding comb we have with different length teeth. However, this has been a little hard to use sometimes, as it is a simple comb and it is not very ergonomic. This rake is pretty neat. It has an easy to use shape, it seems to pull out dead fur pretty well, and our dog seems to like it. However, it is pretty big and is not very suitable for getting fur and mats from small areas like groin, pits, etc. But is great for overall grooming.
