Classic Products Plastic Basket Muzzle for Dogs Muzzles at Linens 'n Things

On January 27, 2012:
I purchased this for my Lhasa Apso, to prevent unwanted eating/drinking... dirty street/rain water. There is enough room from her muzzle to prevent her drinking, of course if one doesn't want to prevent the dog from eating/drinking...but from biting, a different size may be needed. This is an effective size for the reason I purchased it, and I would recommend it.

On September 15, 2011:
Muzzles worked fine until my dog figured out that she could chew it off. She did that with 2 of them; then proceed to bite another off that her sister was wearing. Freedom for both, bad for the chewed rug that needed to then be thrown out. :)

Our Jack Russell Club loves these muzzles, we use them when we race the jacks. These muzzles are sturdy, comfortable & hold up. Pet Mountain has the best ones for the best price.

The 7 was just right and the holes are small enough that she can't eat rocks through it. She adapted to it very quickly.

This muzzle is great for my borzoi. He can drink with it and pant with it. The price was reasonable and I am glad that Pet Mountain carries it.

I am a behavior modification and obedience trainer and while I work with cases from rescues I used these muzzles in socialization exercises. Very nice muzzles.

Of the dozens of styles and brands of muzzle I've tried, this is by far the most comfortable, secure, safe and inexpensive.

Pros: The inner grill removes to allow more room for the dog's nose. If fitted correctly, it does not chafe, bind or interfere significantly with drinking or panting. It stays in place even if the dog tries to paw or rub it off, and it's light weight, comfortable and very inexpensive.

Cons: It's plastic, so other dogs can easily chew it off during play. There is no opening through which to offer treats during training.

As with any muzzle, never leave a muzzled dog unattended, and always be sure the dog can pant and drink.
