The weight of the metal used for this product is much lighter weight than I expected. I have purchased others similar to this product from other retailers and the gauge of the metal was always heavier weight, thus I expected this to be similar. My dog is almost 100lbs and I'm not sure how long this collar will last on the big guy! HOWEVER...That being said, the cost was significantly less than previous purchases from other retailers, so I feel like I got what I paid for. Was hoping for better, but overall, I'm satisfied...

On December 1, 2010:
I work with a Doberman Rescue, and we swear by these collars! When new dogs come in, they are often stressed, and you never really know what you will get as far as nervousness and energy level not to mention size and strength. These collars allow even small volunteers like my self to handle even the rowdiest dogs. On a Brand note- our president of the rescue will only use Sprener Collars. I cannot tell you how many times we have been showing a dog and the cheaper pinch links slip apart--- never once seen it with a Sprenger.

On May 15, 2007:
This is a training collar that is made to last. When my dogs are misbehaving, I put these on and they settle down just by association when I trained them with these. The links don't harm the dogs such as a regular collars can put pressure on the esophagus.

On November 3, 2006:
I have a great Dane that is 155 lbs. I am 118 with the pinch collar I can train him to walk with me and not walk or run me. I have tried other products that have not worked, it is wonderful I recomend this product for all dog owners that have large breed dogs .
