This tire is supposed to be a thick rubber, and its supposed to be hard to destroy! I gave it out to my dog and less than 2 minutes later hew had a big hole in it!

I've just read a ton of reviews from pet owners who have experienced the same thing as me. After 30 min. of playing with this toy, BOTH of my dogs started VOMITING steadily for HOURS! This toy is toxic and I can't believe this toy is still being sold. SO DISGUSTING & sad that this continues to happen...

Great if used for a game of fetch but, not for a strong chewer!

My dog tore this up in 5 minutes. Not very " rough and tough"

All my one year old heeler mix did was bark at it. Between the weight and strong rubber smell he wants nothing to do with it.

This one lasted longer than the PoochBlast toy, but certainly nowhere near as long as expected. My 32 lb aggressive chewer destroyed the tire (and managed to swallow small pieces of it) within an hour or two. I'm sticking with KONG and Nylabone products as they seem to be the most durable for this girl!

On January 26, 2010:
I had a pit bull puppy and she would chew it up quick and easily most toys. And now I am intending to buy two of these for my new pit bull and boxer as they both love to chew! Even though they are older dogs and have Nylabones and all I like them to have a variety of things. So yes these are impressive if you have Pit Bulls these are the cats meow to buy! :)

MY GERMAN SHEPARDS NEED TOUGH STUFF OR ELSE IT'S TRASHED IN QUICK TIME AND THIS IS TOUGH !! IT'S HANGING ON A ROPE FROM A BIG OL'OAK TREE AND THEY LOVE TO BITE AND TUG ON IT AND IT'S ALL GOOD !!

On January 10, 2008:
I have 3 Pit Bulls and they love these tires. They hold up extremely well and none have been destroyed yet. I smear some peanut butter on the inside or in the tracks for more chewing pleasure. Much better prices here than at the stores.

On April 15, 2007:
I bought this toy for my Pitbull. It is holding up real well he can usually tear a toy up in about 15 minutes. Would really recommend this for someone that has a big dog.

On March 2, 2007:
My boston terrier loves this toy. He refuses to chew anything else. I am back for more - thanks for a great price, half as much as the local pet stores!
