Dogs love this!

My dog kept very busy with this toy and didn't give up. It has instructions on how to introduce this toy to your dog so that he/she will understand where the eggs go and then how to get them out. Once my dog figured out how to get the eggs out, she was much quicker the next time. She loves to just bite down and make the eggs squeek. So far she has not torn them apart and we've had the toy for 2 weeks. I would say it's quite durable.

GREAT toy, and holds up well!

I read the description of the toy and thought "this is probably one of those good ideas in theory but isn't so great in practice." I am happy to admit that I was completely wrong! My two 40 lb mutts love this thing. We've had it for a week now. The smarter one has figured out how to take the eggs out and LOVES to do it. She will hold the duck down with her paws and carefully extract each egg and fling it aside. Then she'll bring me the empty duck and drop it at my feet, waiting until I put them in again. My not-as-smart one loves to just shake it (there is like a rattle or something in the head) or hold it in her mouth and bite the body- the eggs squeak from inside the body and she will happily keep biting/squeaking until just by luck sometimes one of the eggs falls out. Then she'll pick up the egg and bite that. They have both engaged in a significant amount of tug-of-war and the duck hasn't started to unravel or rip anywhere. It also came with 2 replacement eggs, which I haven't needed yet. I will be ordering the platypus next time!
