On February 22, 2012:
I have 3 R.E.S. that were using the Zoo-Med floating Dock (large) and it worked well when they were small; the problem was that they were too big/heavy to have 2 on at the same time. They would sink due to their weight. The turtle topper assembles easily, and can support all 3 turtles at once, albeit cramped (it's 2 LARGE females, and a medium male). Now that several can bask at once, they are finally shedding properly. Their color is improving, their shell is improving, even their demeanor is improving. My only recommendation is to use double-sided tape between the base and the clear cover; otherwise they can push the top off and hop out. I am very pleased with this product.

On July 3, 2011:
I started with my Turtle topper on a 20 gallon long tank. It fit perfect on the tank. When I moved it to a 40 gallon tank it didn't fit. Even though they claim to fit up to a 55 gallon tank. First turtles wouldn't use it & took a long time for them to use it. Now they love it but make a lot of noise going down the ramp. All you hear is bump, bump, bump. Easy to clean and assemble. I have a basking light sitting on top. I don't suggest to clip on your lamp. My lamp popped off & went flying.

the platform was very stable with my 55gal tank my turtles loved it.

This is exactly what I was looking for. While some other turtle shelves my turtle fell off of this one she loved. It increased the amount of space in her tank and was very stable!
