Emily is right, i saw one jump out of the hole where the flap is to cover the hole if the tube is taken out. The holes are pretty big. I tested it by putting the cricket keeper in a storage bin and within an hour there were 3 crawling around the bin. I cant imagine how many crickets have gone to waste with this product. To fix this you can probably tape it but i just went out and bought something else to house my crickets. Very disappointed for spending so much on this thing.

I have two large Kricket Keepers to keep crickets for my Bearded dragon. At first, I could not figure out how we were going through crickets so quickly. Sometimes we'd find a loose one around the house but I thought I'd just let them escape while feeding the lizard. Then I saw one clinging to the top of the case. The little bugger walked right out the slot where the tube cover flaps clip in. I taped the flaps down, taped over the slots and put the cases in a deep bathtub. Within 2 days, I had at least 20 crickets loose in the tub! I made sure all the flaps were secure, taped the top door down, left only one layer of egg crate to keep them lower, nothing helped. I hoped it would be better as we needed bigger crickets, but today I saw a pretty large cricket go right though the grille. Sure, the tubes make feeding easy, but shouldn't something called a Kricket Keeper actually keep the crickets in? If you don't mind a serious cricket infestation in your house, this is the feeder for you. If you prefer your crickets contained, well, let me know when you find a solution because I need one too. Other than my bathtub.

At first my crickets wouldn't go in the tubes, but once I took the egg carton out they had no choice but to hide in the tubes. I got a large and its really big. I now know I should have gotten a small. You can keep more crickets in there than the description says if you add the egg carton, it will add a place for the crickets to hide besides the tubes when the tubes get full.

Would recommend this to anyone that has to keep a few crickets around the house. Keeps things fast, easy, and clean!

This is, in my opinion, the only way to keep crickets! The trap doors don't work as well as I expected, though, I have to push them down after I remove the cricket tube. None the less, it is the easiest, most hassle free way to feed.

This is in my opinion is the easiest and best keeper to house crickets in. The tube make it so you don't have to touch any of the crickets. And you just tap it on the glass and the crickets just fall out.

I bought it and love how easy it was to use. You just stick the tubes in, get some crickets and dump it in the cage. I would definitely recommend it.

This is a great item. It really makes dispensing crickets a simple, no-touch affair. I tap the tube directly into the bag I dust the crickets with calcium in, and I then drop them into the cage. Nothing could be simpler. Also, the small caps work very well as bowls to keep gutload and cricket water from getting everywhere. HIGHLY recommended!
