I live in Utah. Sometimes people refer to it as fly over country but then there are more of us here in the middle than most realize. So, purchasing pet products online might make some nervous who know the material, especially lightbulbs, might break the longer they are in transit. Lots and lots of those air packing bubbles are used and I have ordered a number of Repti-sun 10s from Pet Mountain!!! No breakages and lots of fun popping (although it drives everyone else in the house who aren't involved crazy!). Bottom line: 1) Safest Delivery: Never had any breakage over about 6 to 10 bulbs. 2) Best Prices: Even with shipping, I can get almost get 2 UVB bulbs for the price of one purchased at retail pet stores. 3) Best Products: We have two thriving Bearded Dragons. Reptisun 10 about 6 to 9 inches from the basking spot offer 75 to 100 microwatts of UVB. Best product I have seen to avoid the terrible pain of Metabolic Bone Disease common to lizards without appropriate UVB levels. Nothing else proves to be as good.

So everyone already knows Reptisun lights are the best on the market...they are beneficial in every way possible for my beardie Yoshi!! And you can't find a cheaper price for one than on Petmountain.com!! I bought my light as well as the terrarium hood from here and in my local petstore they sell for $50 each so definitely great price and arrived in 5 days exactly!! If your using anything else or buying from anywhere else I feel sorry for your reptile and your an idiot:)

These bulbs are the best in the U.S. End of story. I must say, I've ordered bulbs before and they've been packed poorly but the packaging petmountain used could have been a plane's black box. Great buy! Will buy again!

I used to have exo-terra repti-glo and my beardies eyes would dilate randomly and he wouldn't move around as much. Ever since I installed the bulb in the fixture his stress marks were gone and he's moving around his cage way more.

These bulbs are great! They are one of the VERY few on the market that are actually safe and effective for producing the correct amount of UVB. I purchase one every 6 months. They state to replace yearly, but unless you have a UVB meter its best to replace every 6 months as the coating starts to wear off around this time. This is the cheapest website, and I'd highly recommend this bulb and site. I use for my beardie and armadillo lizard.

More importantly, Roomba (my greek tortoise) loves it. The vet said how healthy he looks! As soon as I put the new bulb in he perked right up. I love the fact that I can count on the "rays" reaching him. I have the light sitting on top of the screen cover of his 40 gal long terrarium. In spite of the 1 year guarantee, I plan on replacing the bulb in 6 months as the vet recommended.

After much investigation into UVB bulbs on bearded dragon.org. breeders and owners alike were only recommending the ReptiSun 10.0 tube bulb for bearded dragons to improve their D3 production for better calcium absorption, improve their energy level and general well being, not causing eye problems as some other UVB bulbs do and producing more constant and appropriate UVB levels for them I ordered these bulbs. With-in 2 short days I noticed my Dragons improved energy level. I figure if the educated bearded dragon community of owners and breeders were recommending it as being best for my beardies health that's what I wanted for them! I have noticed a great difference. This is the best uvb bulb for bearded dragons hands down. It is recommended by breeders and professionals. Most importantly it is the most safe bulb to use. I would recommend to replace this every 6 months as the uvb levels lower as it is used more.

These bulbs were a great deal, and they certainly emit a very "white" light. I have 4 of them in 2 strip fixtures for our 3 sulcata tortoises. Without a UV analyzer, I cannot say for sure that they are putting out beneficial amounts of UVB, and neither can anybody else... so for now I'll take it on faith that they are!

I switched to the Repti-sun from the Repti-Glo compact on advise of other bearded dragon owners. While I didn't notice a dramatic change in his behavior, his colors seem to have brightened up, and he likes to sit under this light in lieu of basking for a small amount of time a day. And Petmountain's prices were the best by far! (Just don't go with the cheapest shipping, unless you want to wait 2 weeks for your package ><)

When I first got this, I was a bit disappointed because it didn't perk my bearded dragon up like I thought it would. After a day, I did some research and discovered it was because I had it resting on top of the mesh screening. Later that night, we had fixed it to where it was hanging inside the cage and within minutes, my bearded dragon was all over the place. He now regularly poos, has an amazing appetite and is just as happy as can be.

However in the past couple of years and all the issues there have been with some of the best reputable MVB's...I decide to give the Reptisun 10.0's a try. "I can not tell you how amazed I was with this product." I have now switched all 14 enclosures over to Reptisuns...even my special boys, Zak-n-Wheezie. I no longer have the mind set that the only good bulbs are Mercury Vapor. This is a great product for beardies and owners! I will continue to recommend it. I have a Greek tortoise and he had been acting more sluggish this winter. His UVB bulb was due for replacement but the lamp had been getting increasingly hard to find bulbs for. I decided to go with the Zoo Med name and the excellent reviews for the 10.0 UVB Terrarium bulb. A week later I received my new lamp and bulb. Within 5 minutes of setting it up on my 40 gallon long terrarium, Roomba became a happy active boy, more so than he was even with a new bulb for the old lamp he used. If you have a tortoise I highly recommend this lamp! I bought the 20-inch hood which takes the 18-inch bulb. It is not bulky and seems to be sturdily made. I am thrilled with my purchase and so is Roomba!

ZooMed would be advised to change the model or upc code for this product to reflect that it is NOT the same lamp as the T12 that this T8 replaces. I purchased it thinking it was the same lamp I had before since the model and UPC have not changed. Also if anyone thinks their T12 fixture will work this lamp you will probably find out differently. Unless you have an electronic start ballast most magnetic ballasts designed for T12 lamps will not work with this lamp. You will either need to buy a new fixture or get a T8 ballast to make this lamp work. I purchased a new fixture and for the first day the lamps flickered several times a minute. It has since settled down but I have no idea if it was the lamps or the fixture causing my problem. The light may be brighter than the T12 lamp it replaced but better information about the lamp would have helped.

These are the ONLY florescent lights I will use with my bearded dragons. They have excellent UVB output and are affordable. The only downside is having to replace them every six months. Other than that, they are great - my dragons are all healthy and happy because of their Repti Sun bulbs.

There are many different options for fluorescent UV-emitting bulbs, and this is by far the best. True, it only emits UVA/B for six months, and it must be within 9" of the lizard, but it is much better than those provided by other companies.

I highly recommend these light bulbs. I use them for my bearded dragon. I had originally had the compact bulb but noticed that she always closed her eyes. I later found out that the compact bulb often harms the eyes so I immediately switched to these. Even with shipping it was way cheaper than going to Petco or Petsmart.

We use a UVB meter to measure how much light our chameleons receive at their perch, and these 10.0 bulbs reach way down into their habitat. Don't settle for anything less. When I purchased my Bearded Dragon, I was told to use another UVB bulb. For 6 months I used that bulb and replaced it. Through the duration of my Beardies life I was giving him a proper diet from BeautifulDragons.com and his powdered vitamins (calcium/multi vit) Well even though he was properly cared for, he developed MBD- which stunned the Reptile vet and I. Then when I told him about the UVB bulb that I was using, a light bulb went off and my Vet suggested that it was not the appropriate UVB bulb to use even though the bulb company advertises that is it to be used for bearded dragons also. Then he suggested to me Repti-sun. Needless to say my Beardie has not had any issues and healed quickly from the MBD that he once had. Now I use Repti-sun for all 4 of my Bearded Dragons. This is why I highly recommend it!!

Though my ReptiSun 10.0 bulbs are still working, I've been advised to change them once a year. I'm ordering a replacement set now. These bulbs have done an excellent job in keeping my 55 Gallon Aquarium for juvenile rescue Aquatic Turtles in a very stable ecosystem. They then make the transition to an outdoor pond with ease, once they are large enough to hold their own with the grown-up turtles. I am more than satisfied with this product.

I got this bulb for my bearded dragon on the recommendation of just about every herp keeper I spoke with and am so glad I did! Increased activity and appetite were apparent almost immediately.

The price is the cheapest I've seen as well. I shopped around for about a week before purchasing and even with shipping charges the bulb was still $30 cheaper than any store near me and $5 cheaper than the next cheapest online store.

Best money I've spent for my dragon yet!

We use these bulbs in our breeder tanks. The output of UVB is next to none!! It makes your reptiles healthy and vibrant. Get your reptile the UV it needs!!

Repti-Sun is by far the best UVB strip light available. My bearded dragons always have more energy, a better appetite and improved color while using them. I don't feel that any other bulb is anywhere as close in comparison to this one. I won't use any other bulb. They flatten themselves out and totally relax while laying underneath them and it looks like they are smiling.

This is one of the highest output flourescent UVB bulbs out on the market. It's supposed to provide UVB for a full year unlike most that are only good for 6 months. The "spent" bulbs are great as plant lights as well.

I have two of these bulbs for my Bearded Dragons, and these bulbs are perfect for any desert species requiring high UVB requirements. These bulbs are so much better than any other florescent UVB bulbs from any other companies. This Reptisun 10.0 has the highest UVB output of any florescent tubes out there, and I highly reccomend it! Its extremely easy to use (and extremely fragile) and you will not regret this buy.

Ive tried these bulbs versus other flourescents and incandescents, by far the best coverage. I have a breeder family inside a 90 gallon square desert enclosure, these bulbs give maximum efficiency on a maximized AOE (area of effect).
