Works good since my male slider is very aggressive. At first it looked like it didn't work but it started to work after 3 days of letting it sit in the tank.

On January 19, 2010:
I have purchased this type in the past and have found it to last longer than any other heater I have had.....and I've had many. This is perfect for my big turtle who uses the heater as his punching bag. Saves you a ton of money when you add up all the others I had to purchase and watch break within a few months.

On March 31, 2009:
My turtles are 16 years old and we went through plenty of heaters. They were always cracking them. Bought the TetraFauna heater approx. two years ago and still holding strong. The turtles cant break them because of the outer case. Love them and wouldn't buy anything else.

On August 2, 2007:
We purchased the heater for our two baby turtles and they really seem to like it. It evenly warms the water and they also like to hang out on top of it. Good buy!

I have 2 for two different tanks and they work great. I was surprised how consistent they were and the casing is a great feature!!! Definitely a good buy.

This heater is encased very nicely and distributes heat evenly through the vents. The plastic is hard enough so that the turtle is unable to chew on it. The suction cups are very heavy duty.

On March 19, 2007:
I bought this for my 20 gallon turtle tank. There's about 3 inches of water and it keeps the water temperature at 78. It works perfect. And I love the fact that the heater itself is encased in a plastic covering so my turtle can't get hurt.
