I bought 6 to frame some children's art. In a 2 x 3 column, it looks very nice. I am really happy with it. It doesn't look plastic-y to me, although the hidden components are plastic.

While there are no reviews yet on this website about this product, I read several reviews about it from other websites. I read many negative ones on Amazon.com saying the packaging was poor and item frequently arrived broken, but I had no problems with that, as I think other shippers outside of the one at Amazon ships it well packaged. I also read that putting pictures in the frame was time consuming and that there was a potential of breaking the glass since the pictures go in with screws at all four corners of each glass piece. It's true that it takes a while to put the pictures in, since each individual hanging piece has four screws that need to come completely out, and you want to ensure both that the picture goes in straight and that you don't get fingerprints on the inside of the glass. Also, the wires that the pictures hang from are attached to the top two screws, which adds to the time it takes to assemble. Once you put the pictures in, you won't ever want to change them since it takes so long, so make good choices the first time around! I was afraid I might break a piece of glass with a screw since I read that someone did that while being incredibly careful, but I didn't feel any threat of that happening. I did stick to just using my fingernail to tighten them so I wouldn't get even close to risking that though, so it might be best to put the screwdriver down before the screw is completely in. Also, between each side of the screw and the glass is a teeny tiny clear plastic washer. I think these help protect the glass from the metal of the screw, and also keep you from being able to break the glass with the screw. But they are easy to lose if you're not keeping a close eye on where they go when you unscrew, and without one of them, the screws don't tighten on the glass, so you don't want to lose any! Just be aware that they're there so you can make sure to keep track of them. The final product is completely worth the time and care it takes to put the pictures in though, the frame is just as gorgeous on my wall as I expected it to be. I've seen people question the price of this item, but it was completely worth it in my eyes.
