Have had it for several months and it still looks new and we leave water (filtered) in it 24/7 and there is no rust or scale buildup. Nice seamless porcelain enamel bottom both inside and outside. Lid rim that lid sits in at top of kettle is beginning to wiggle a bit so we started filling from the spout now instead of through the lid. Also, handle has been tightened twice because it is not thick or sturdy enough for the kettle's capacity (2 and 1/2 quarts) IMO. Even in the photo the handle looks dwarfed for the size of the kettle. A rubberized completely covered thicker handle would be better. Filling at half capacity is prolonging the life of this nice kettle. Whistles good if you remember to close the spout. Heavy when full so we fill only halfway. Nothing is 100% but minus the smaller handle and wiggly lid support, this Luna was a lucky discount purchase for us.
