It features a heavy-duty transformer and rectifier for dependability and a built-in circuit protection that guards against short circuits. The unit automatically checks for correct polarity (requires a minimum of 1.5 volts DC at the battery terminals) and its heavy-duty cables and steel nickel-plated clamps are corrosion-resistant for better connections.
