It was easy to put together and install and holds my curtains easily. There is a bit of a dip in the middle, but it is a 6 foot space, so that is to be expected with an inexpensive rod.

The ordering and shipping service were easy and immediate. However, the curtain rod wasn't so great. I followed the directions for the rod assembly, but the nut and bolt wouldn't hold the spring rod in place, making it impossible to place it in the window, let alone hold up a set of drapes. So, I am returning it (I hope, since the customer service for return info has been very slow. I just went out and bought another rod .. that worked.. at Target.)

Wasn't sure about this at first from past reviews, but I bought it - am using it for fabric curtains and a valance and it's working just fine! I'm happy.

On October 8, 2009:
I've used this rod elsewhere in the past and it continues to be solid and reliable. It does not mar paint or wood and does not harm sheer curtains while holding weightier fabrics up easily. The price was the same as the -marts and Target and it shipped almost before I hit send on the order. Excellent service.
