On March 20, 2012:
i bought a set of these for my bedroom and they are awesome. they black the light out light there were no windows there at all and the thermal part i can't say yet as the temp here is in the 60's so can't comment on that part yet. i do love them though and would recommend them to everyone.

I took a chance on these curtains, as you usually get what you paid for. I opened them all right away (bought 6 panels) they were all the same color, no deformaties, although the burgundy panels are pink in the back, which is no big deal as you can not see them through my blinds ,They look great I will post pics soon. I ordered the longest ones and they came up about 4" too short (from the floor). I have a big wooden rod, so that might be the problem. Something to consider if you buy these...

These panels are dark enough and insulated enough to keep the reflective heat from the building behind my apartment from roasting me. Very happy with these panels!

We have a shade with small holes to let light in. With this panel, the room is dark and we can sleep in. I also used clips to hang the panels to give a polished look. I washed them and ironed them for neatness. The chocolate curtain over the shade is deep in color. For 9.99 for an eighty four inch panel, this cannot be beaten.

The price was right and the drapes are made well enough, certainly a bargain, but ironing them is a must, before hanging!! After ironing one panel out of the package, I decided to run the others through a quick cool water delicate wash cycle - no soap, just the water, spin and tumble dried on delicate heat and ironing was so much easier and faster. I am completely pleased with my purchase.

On September 24, 2011:
First of all, these are NOT great drapes, however, they are decent at keeping out the light from the windows. I turned my blinds up & had the drapes across the window, & they did a good job. It's not like putting a piece of plywood over the window, but it IS a big improvement. Not bad, but the quality of the material is a little cheap.

Blocks out the light completely. Good quality fabric drapes nicely after pressing. Not too bulky but nice heft. Comes in dark blue, which is hard to find these days. Can't beat the price.

WOW..I decided to go to the store before ordering these because of some of the reviews that I had read. I am so glad that I did because these are extremely thick and extremely stiff. Yes they are lined, but the face of the fabric feels like a cheap lined table cloth. I'm sure they work for blocking the sun, but keep in mind that they are not shiny, not fabric looking...prob the best I can describe is a dull canvas look, with the feel of a cheap semi-cloth/plastic table cloth.

i ordered 10 curtains and got them all and i had one minor problem. one of the 63 inch curtains was not 63 inches. i believe it was 84 inches and it also had a slit in it. otherwise i'm very satisifed with my order!

I read a few people had problems with the chocolate being different shades, but no issues here. I just got them today and hung them in a room that gets tons of sun and my old very thick dark brown curtains were making it so hot I couldn't sit within 5 feet of the windows even with the ac at 72 and the fans on. It was truly that bad. These curtains are simply amazing though! They have completely reduced the heat from the windows. I can put my hand up to them and they are cool to touch and the room actually feels like the ac is working now :-D And it is DARK! Very dark in this room now, which is fantastic!

Bought the curtains in the store, hung them up, and thought they looked good. After having seen them in the sun, they were all different colors and it was driving me nuts. I checked the packaging to make sure they were all the same color, which they were (choc.). Brought them back to the store and tried to match the colors. After much frustration I simply returned them and bought curtains elsewhere. BEWARE if you're picky like me. On the positive side... they do work. Slept like a baby at 3 in the afternoon.

I bought two panels of the black. Despite an excellent iron, steam, burst-of-steam, and a spritzer bottle of water, the packaging creases and wrinkles would not come out (and they were REALLY plentiful!) . I returned them and will find others elsewhere.

Upon opening a 'new' panel large footprints were discovered hidden in the folds. I immedidiately washed both panels as directed in cold water, gentle. They came out covered in white specs - probably from the thermal lining. This 'stuff' is still there after tumble drying on low/air. I am extremely disappointed and will never purchase again or recommend this store to anybody. It was my first and last purchase from Anna's.

not as good as expected color on panels is not the same, I bought 6 panels chocolate, does filter out the light but the shades of the panels are different. threads in between the layers show and wasn't able to get the creases out. also not 85 inches long. quality is not what was expected.

I bought two packages since I needed two panels. The colours matched the sample online and they look great on my windows. They work really well at blocking out most light and keeping my room cool. These are light-weight drapes so they still glow a little with sunlight but it does darken the room sufficiently.

My windows face west as well as the direction in which we face to watch TV. These curtains make it a whole lot better to watch TV in the evenings. I only ordered the panels. Just remember to order the number of panels according to how much light you want to block.

My little sis recommended these and they are awesome! Great value for the price. They have kept the "cool" air out in the evening and early morning and they black out my infant's room very well.

I was disappointed to realize that the valance didn't match the curtain panels like advertised. Was way off and the valance didn't have the lining as the panels did or as advertised!

when I first received the panels one was the wrong size. I wrote to customer service and they sent me another panel. that panel was the wrong color. I wrote the customer service dept and they told me to send them all back. they sent me 4 new ones and they were perfect matches. I really like the way customer service handled the situation. I highly recommend using this company.

On January 30, 2011:
We ordered the Lichtenberg Carly (purple) and Shelby (navy) but the fabric is completely different. The Carly is soft and the Shelby is stiff and unmoving. We are returning it because we want a softer fabric. It definitely would keep all light from coming in if your plan is to have a dark room.

These panels look great and are a good value for the price. I believe they are supposed to be room darkening and thermal. They do not darken the room but do shade it.

I ordered 8 panels in Hunter Green. The green wasn't as dark or rich as I had expected or hoped, but the color was ok anyway. Imagine my distress when I began hanging them only to find they were much shorter than 84"! I measured them and found they were 80". I don't know if all the other colors have the same problem, but all the panels I received were too short. How disappointing - and the extra pain of packing them up to return. At least I was provided a paid return label.

As with most Chinese manufactured panels/curtains, the measurements were way off. I bought four panels in order to get two that would be close. No such luck, all four were at least 1/2" different in length. The hanging strings and dust could have been dealt with but there is no way to use these panels unless I re-hem them. What's the point in buying ready made if you have to remake them? What happened to quality control?

I was pleased with the curtains, however upon putting the curtains up 2 out of the 8 panels I ordered had black footprints on them. I made a call to customer service and have never received a call back.

I purchased 6 panels and they are great. They work very well keeping out the cold on these old windows with a bonus of room darkening. Looking forward to summer to see if they work as well keeping out the heat :-)

I unfortunately ignored one of the reviews that talked about the color in this product not consistent and white faded areas and that's exactly what I got in the mail. The white faded areas I thought were something I might me able to wash away but when package after package had the same thing, these items were returned the same day they were received.

I ordered these for my office and while they do help keep the room warmer, I think they could be a bit thicker fabric. I have 6 panels and they seem to vary in color slightly which I only notice when the light shines through it in late afternoon. so far so good-let's see when it hits below zero out1

Needed window coverings in our bedroom to help block out the light and weather. Wasn't sure when I ordered them but these are great. Wash, dry and just a little ironing needed. I will be ordering some for the living room before summer. And the price was not expensive.

I got these in brown for my bedroom windows, as I am a day sleeper. They work for blocking the light, but they are so stiff and so ugly that I hung up my old curtains on top of them, to cover them up. They are really ugly!

The color was irregular, the wrinkles would not come out, a couple of the seams were undone, there were pin holes throughout the panels, the length was shorter than the advertised size, and the panels did not fall properly. I returned the panels to my local store as soon as I could. I would not give any stars to this product if I could.

I was expecting a good deal, but what I received didn't meet my expectations. I understand that you can't always tell the quality sight unseen but after all of the reviews I read I thought I would take a chance. I will not be purchasing any more.

Ordered 7 panels. Although all the same color, there are obvious variances in shade. Advertised length of 84" was on average only 82". Very disappointed with product.

The morning sun no longer penetrates though with these curtains. Despite being thin, the gold Shelby curtain effectively blocks the sun. This will be important when the summer rolls around. I also am very pleased with the look and the room darkening effect.

I bought this just to try them! OMG! There are mornings I get up for work and question if it really is 7AM! In the winter they help keep the place warm and in the summer they help keep the place cool! I am changing my room decor so I may change from Taupe to Chocolate, either way love them!

I only bought two panels to see if they worked at keeping out the sun light of our teens rooms. My husband has been putting off putting up his blinds. So ours son has had one blind and two very thin panels up. Needless to say his room was always light and he never had much privacy. Grant it his room is on the second floor but he still begged for a darker room. These panels did the job!!

Our family room has a large window which gets the morning & afternoon sun and the panels do block out the sun and the heat. Compared to our previous curtains it makes a big difference.

I truly LOVE these curtains!!! I work nights and usually sleep during the day time, these curtains essentially make it feel like it's night time in the middle of the day. I love them!! If you can't them in the store order online...it's worth it!!!

Definitely an improvement over my regular curtains, in terms of keeping the Texas summer heat out, but not as well as I was hoping for. Then again, they're doing a pretty good job for just $10 per panel! At that price, I could buy more and double-hang them for less than I would pay for "premium" thermal curtains.

Panels are thin, thermally lined and really effective! We covered a huge bedroom window over vertical blinds & blocked out nearby street lights that had been keeping us awake and at the same time, blocked out the summer heat. The price was so reasonable that I didn't really expect them to do the job! One flaw: one panel had a hem that wasn't very neat & had a verticle line of color flaw, but I was less concerned with that than with overall effectiveness.

They are nice curtains for the money ($9.99 per panel) Good a blocking the light out and keeping the room cool. My only complaint (as I read before I bought) is the colors are different during the day. I bought the Dark Brown one, and when the sun shines through one curtain is a DARK brown and the other is a LIGHT brown VERY ovious -- Im going to try and exchange them tonight and hopefully that works.

I recently decided to re-decorate my bedroom; I knew I wanted the curtains to be chocolate. I needed something that would keep the temperature comfortable. So needless to say, I love these panels, so guess what -- everyone in the house are getting these new panels for their bedrooms, I just need them to choose their color.

I bought 3 sets of the Shelby Thermal Lined Drapes for each bedroom and living room. To keep the bright sun out during the day. And at night time when I am busy working on my computer, I have my privacy with my drapes. They are light weight, but I really like these drapes. I will buy eventually buy more for the last bedroom for the sliding door. If you live in the mountains, then I would not recommend buying these drapes. You would need a HEAVY WEIGHT FABRIC for mountain living.

I needed an inexpensive set of panels to put on my living room window to help control the temperature in the room.

I had purchased a pair at another store and returned them. I am pleased with these panels.

They look nice, and they control the amount of light and heat that comes in the window.

I plan to purchase more panels for other rooms in my house.

Also, the organza panel looks great with them!!!!

I love these curtains!!!! The are gorgeous and they keep my room completely dark. I ordered the chocolate brown and I ordered three panels and all three were the same color and texture. I am going to buy more for my living room.

I bought four of these panels for two different windows. They are very dark and thick. They are a little wrinkly when you take them out of the package, but that's to be expected. I can't imagine a panel that wouldn't be wrinkled. I did experience some smell when I took them out, but they weren't overwhelming. Maybe some people have a very strong sense of smell. These panels are an extreme value and I would definitely purchase more in the future if warranted.

I ordered 2 panels and got 4. They were all different lengths and different colors. They were all chocolate brown but none were the same color! I had to go and try to match them up at Wal-Mart but had no luck. I am very disgusted with them.

I was excited to find these in the chocolate color. I bought four panels. The first one I pulled out of the package was very stiff and I was unable to iron all of the wrinkles out. I assumed it was just because they were lined and figured they would look OK once hung. The second panel was a different feeling material (lighter weight) and a lighter brown in color. Obviously not the same. The third panel had a 6" snag in the middle and the fourth panel had the stitching already coming out where the rod pocket was. I have no idea if they help block light or heat - as I was never able to put them up due to all of the flaws. I returned all four panels the next day and I am looking elsewhere.

I bought these curtains to filter the light coming in through our bedroom door, which faces west. It did a great job and I was pleased with how cool the bedroom felt. However when the sun hits it and heats up the curtains, it lets off a horrid smell! I have washed them several times, but it still reeks, returning them tomorrow.

I bought these based off of reviews because my husband works graveyard shifts and needs the bedroom dark while he sleeps during the day however when I pulled them out, they were not soft, they were very hard and cheap. It was more like plastic than cloth and the sun shone right through it! I am returning these. The company did not send me my entire order of these either, Im still waiting for the other half so I can send it right back!

These curtains are amazing for the price. Color is as described. My family area was immediately cooler than prior. I recommend the product but shipping and communication is horrible. Great product! unfortunately I will spend elsewhere... Vendors need to work on service skills!!! All items shipped separately on different dates with same tracking number which made tracking a complete nightmare.

These panels were very nice. I really hadn't paid much attention to the fact that they were lined (was more concerned about color) but was pleasantly surprised by the lining.

Got these on sale for 9.99/panel, and for the price you can't beat it anywhere!! I had to purchase 14 panels to cover the windows in my kitchen and living room, and they have done a terrific job at holding the heat in. There has been a noticeable difference in the mornings coming into the kitchen. In order to cover some of my double windows effectively I had to cut some panels in half and stitch them to a full width panel and it was easy to sew the fabric since the thermal backing is bonded to the fabric of the curtain. No, these are not the best curtains, but you really can't find anything better for the price. They have made a huge difference in our heating bill! I highly recommend the investment!

I was not pleased with the fabric that the curtains were made from and they were hard to iron. I do not like the way they hang. I wanted to use them in a bedroom, they are better suited for a bathroom.

I ordered 7 panels in the Burgundy thermal and they actually did keep the cold out as I could feel the difference when I opened the drapes. So I ordered more of them for other windows in living room. They were real easy to lightly press too!

I was skeptical about the quality of these panels, given the great price. They are heavy, and do cut the light coming into the room. they are quite wrinkled when unpacked. be patient with ironing, it is well worth the effort. These were for my daughter's college apartment, and she is very pleased with them.

The curtain were well made and the backing is great. I did have to press them(on the material side) because of the packing, but all the creases did come out. They were shipped on time and arrived in good condition.
