Sturdy, easy to install, great workmanship. My children share a room. One would complain about wanting the overhead light off to sleep while the other wanted the light on to read. One would complain about the alarm going off too early (they start school at different times). Now they both have their own alarm clock and lamp on their Bunkpal.

We recently moved our daughters into separate bedrooms; one has a loft bed and one is sleeping on the upper bunk of a bunk bed set. These little tables are very easy to attach (takes about 2 minutes as they come fully assembled), nicely finished, and neatly hold a book, a water bottle, and one or two other small items (small clock, watch, etc.). They fit the bill exactly. If you can, try to attach them on a side of the bed where you will not whack your head on them if you are bending down to the lower bunk. I have not done that yet, but I can see it happening, and the edges are sharp. It's unexpected to have a table, however small, attached an upper bunk, and takes a bit of getting used to for those moving around the bed. Once you are in the bed, though, it's a great night table.

This bunk bed shelf works awesome! Sturdy and stays in place. Took only a couple of minutes to mount on the railing. It's wonderful to be able to finally have somewhere to place some things when up there.

I bought this for a upper bunk in a dorm room. It works out perfectly. It's not very big but will hold a cellphone, book, and a drink and that's all I wanted really. I don't know how long it'll last but it seems to be fairly sturdy. For the price and given where it was headed (a college dorm room), I think it's perfect!

My daughter purchased the Bunkpal Bed Shelf for her college dorm room to place her alarm clock on. The shelf is very handy and is large enough to fit a clock and other things she would generally place on her bedside table. The shelf attached easily to her lofted bed and secured well with the clamps provided. This is definitely a good item to buy for bunk beds or college dorm rooms. Very useful purchase!

On October 5, 2010:
I bought this for my sons captains bed. The shelf is small, but has enough room for a small lamp/desk light, remote control and his bedtime cup of water. Perfect.
